I also have a N860 mainboard with a usb port broken off, I tried to solder to it without any luck. My soldering gun is too fat and those contacts are soooo thin and close together...

ok here is what u have to do u have to desolder from the back and remove old charger and clean w alcohol then use a small clip to to hold new in place resolder from the back making sure he solder penitrates through the board to the four post on the port that is all the need soldered not the five connections just the four legs of the port it will also help to use rosen core solder and also clean the port w alco b4 if i can ill post pics next time i take my phone apart
