Help Broken HTC Sensation Guidance

Ok I never really have alot of luck getting assistance from forums, but I am out of options.

My HTC Sensaction's screen has been cracked for about six months, then last weekend all of a sudden touch detection on the entire screen stopped working.

I called a local repair shop, asking if I replaced the digitizer would it fix the problem. They told me it would, so I bought a digitizer and replaced it myself. I've replaced Iphone screens before, so it was no biggy.

However after I was done, I turned on my phone... and still no luck, No touch is detected, I went into HBOOT and did a factory Reset, Still no success.

I've been looking into maybe flashing my phone with a recovery image of an android OS or something... All new to me so I'm not 100% on terminology yet.... however every guide I look at says that I need to change a setting to USB DEbugging or something of the like, which I can't do since I have no touch access to my phone

So what options do I have to fix this, will flashing it work, or am I totally boned and need to get a new phone? anyone have any ideas?

I wouldn't bother trying to flash a ROM etc, it sounds like your issue is definitely hardware and a new ROM won't fix that.

You could try another screen, or even see if HTC will repair it for you, it would cost a bit, but less than a new phone.

Sorry it's not very good news :(

Thats what I feared. I was hopeful that maybe flashing a new/recovery rom might fix the problem...

I'll probably see what HTC can do about it.

Thank you

I have an HTC Sensation phone I just repaired the LCD screen and digitizer because the old screen to screen wasnt bright enough. now that I replaced did all my phone does is vibrate. how can I fix this problem

Hi,

I just went through the same thing last week. Full disclosure: I was replacing the digitizer, but wasn't successful. I think it was a bad digitizer, because when I put the old cracked one back in, it worked again (well worked badly as it had been doing).

However, the first time I put the phone back together, the same thing happened. Phone greenlight would come on, but just vibrate.

I'll try to describe the best I can (without take the phone back apart), but there was a pretty obvious small rectangle piece around the middle that had to be re-connected. Not like the little connectors that slide in, but more of a piece that just snaps in. It was pretty obviously loose, and obvious where it snaps back in--for me to figure it out. (I know I'm repeating obviously too many times)

I'm not positive that was it, but I think it was. Wouldn't hurt to check all the other connections you pulled apart and put back together.

I thinks its recommended to have your phone checked by an expert. If you believe you can't settle it on your own, might as well seek assistance from repair stores nearby and have it fixed by them.
