Help Calendar sync issue

ashkell

Newbie
I have noticed a problem with some of my recurring meeting under exchange and I was wondering if other have experienced the same.

I am in the GMT -5 zone and we change time for day light saving each year.

I have found that if a recurring meeting is created during the DLS time, let say july for example, this meeting will show one hour early in my calendar today.

I did a test by creating a meeting on june 10 at 9:00 am in my outlook and on my GS3 it show at 8:00 am.

however if I create a meeting outside of the DLS time, it will show at the correct time.

Not sure if I am clear enough...

can someone help?

Edit: can an admin correct my title

Got the title, wish I had an answer for you.

Recurring events and time zone changes have often caused issues with Google calendar. If I spot anything, I'll post back, sure hope someone here knows!

I think this is the issue I'm seeing also.

I have some meetings that are fine and some that are an hour later than outlook shows. I'm on AZ time so GMT-7. So that may be part of the issue.

I have cleared the calendar data a few times and deleted the exchange account a few times in various orders. No luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Now fixed.
I decided to remove and re-create the exchange account. While selecting the calendar options I thought about your mentioning of DST. When selecting the calendar sync period I decided to use 6 month because that ensured that syncing would start during DST. Now my appointments are correct.

Android Cal does not show when the event was created or accepted so hopefully just looking back to DST is enough. Cal sync period does not have a 1 year option. I'd hate to select "ALL".

Any try changing your sync time to 6 months.
