camera not working.

Hi,
So recently my camera has not worked in any app or as itself. It says, "Gallery has unfortunately stopped". Rebooting and taking out the battery didn't work. I deleted a ton ofy gallery pictures, didnt work. I read on another form to reboot I'm sage mode to see what app is bugging the camera but I don't know how to see what app is doing that? Can someone please help me? Thanks!

Have you cleared data/cache from the Gallery? Do you have multiple camera apps installed? Are they all malfunctioning?
 
Could be a hardware failure :(

I had my camera stop working for a month or so after getting it wet. I got the same exact error...


Then magically it just started working one day :/
 
Hi All,
I have cleared a significant amount of my memory. I have updated all of my Gapps which worked for a few days then it would sporadically work and not work. How do I clear my cache? Sorry my knowledge of software settings/options is pretty limited. Thanks all!

To clear the cache or data on any app you go into settings app manager then all. Select the app and clear cache or data. Just know clearing the data can delete files so make sure you have info backed up. It will sign you out if you clear it on an app!
 
Jaybird this exact thing happened to me today. I try to open the camera and it says "gallery not responding" then closes. I just opened the phone up to clean it out and check for loose connectors and went onto the forum while it is drying. I'll try clearing the cache and re-post to see if it worked. Interested to see what the forum comes up with here.

Since it is happening to another fellow Nexus user it could have been a recent software update.
 
Unfortunately there was nothing loose inside, and clearing the cache did nothing to fix the problem. I cleared out most of the memory but didn't hit 'clear app data' because I am afraid what it will do. This is Gallery version 1.1.40001, which controls the camera and is what opens when I hit the camera icon.

Dude hopefully someone will figure out how to fix it!! I really like taking pictures.
