Can I use this charger?

Hi guys,

I just got my T-mobile G1. The thing is I am not from the UK and I bought the phone in the UK, therefore the charger I got with does not fit any plug.

My question is: Is it possible to plug the USB-cable in an Apple charger and just use the Apple charger or would it do harm to the battery?

Along these same lines, what regulates voltage? I saw a friend with an iPhone who had a car charger with USB female end. You take your USB cable and plug it into the adapter and then could charge your iPhone. I was worried/wondering if the same idea would work for a G1. How would I make sure?

I know the USB charge is much slower than my AC charger, but both do work.
