Root Can we add Phone contacts in a rooted HTC Wildfire with HTC Sync

I have rooted my HTC wildfire to 2.3. Can I still use HTC sync to add contacts or is their some tweaks by which you can do it. I know there is method through Gmail but HTC Sync was better and more organised
