Root Can you install roms on the Freedom Phone

I ordered my Evo Design a few weeks ago and it's okay. I want to install roms on my HTC Evo Design to make it better, but I want to know if Freedompop will still be there and I can keep my freedompop number. If I do install roms will I still be able to use 4G and make calls and text on it by using the Freedompop service.

If you put a custom ROM on, you will have to go to the Play store and install Freedompop Messenger https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.freedompop.phone

It should still work just like it did on the original ROM, but I would make sure to take a nandroid backup so you can restore back if it isn't working the way you want.
