Can't download MMS pictures

My wife has a Maxx HD running 4.4.2 and uses Handcent for texting. Pictures in MMS messages from her girl friends do not download to her phone. I think they have iPhones. Is there a way to get those images to download so she can view them on her phone?

I had the same issue. It was the APN settings. Maybe check to make sure they are correct.

There are apparently no APN settings available under mobile networks > Access Points Names.

Known issue with iphones and handcent. At least in my experience. I had to change apps. Closest one in terms of functionality is Chomp. Problem solved.
