Help Can't get Xperia S out of safe mode

Hi all,

Is there any way to disable safe mode through a menu option?

My Xperia S is suck in safe mode, I've tried restarting numerous time, but no dice.

I've also tried powering on while pressing various buttons to no avail.

Cheers for any help!

What does it look like? I've never once seen a safe mode option, and i looked at how you would get out of it but those instructions make no sense.
Setting-Display.. That makes sense
but
Settings, Display, mobile.. What?

here is quoted from their site.

">start the button of the menu key option.

-->click the option of setting.

-->open the display option on the screen.

-->open the mobile & see the screen.

-->click the safe mode & use it in normal mode"

What is Safe mode?

In safe mode the words "Safe Mode" appear in the bottom left corner and you no longer have access to any of your downloaded apps. It supposed to be useful if you install an app that breaks your phone so you can still get into it and do an uninstall.

Hiya, thanks for replying but that doesn't seem to relate to the Xperia S. There is a Settings > Display option, but after that the instructions no longer make any sense..

Yeah I've tried it a bunch of times. If the phone is off and I then press both buttons and continue holding them the phone vibrates once (as normal) then there is a pause and it vibrates 3 times and the screen remains blank.
If I hold them both down till it vibrates once and then release the volume button it starts up, but in Safe Mode

Generally this means there is a hardware problem with the volume down button causing the phone to register it as pressed whenever you try to power it on. Check to see if there is anything blocking this area and if not you may need to send it in for repair sorry.
