Have tried several different methods to root my lg optimus 2x running gingerbread 2.3.4 with no success. Superoneclick hangs at device waiting, z4root force closes and gingerbreak never stops. So I came across a different way and that is by downloading upd_zip.1, moving it to root of sd card, powering up in recovery mode then applying update from sd card and installing the file. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until I got this error message:E: signature verification failed. I rebooted, renamed file and even wiped my card and redownloaded. Still not installing! Does anyone know how to fix this or atleast another way to root this device? Suggestions greatly appreciated, thanks!
