Help Circle w. letters when making calls

I get this annoying circle on the screen w. letters in it when making calls. How do I get rid of it?

Thnx Pugs. For ex. The name Adam Jay shows as AJ w.i. the circle. Home shows as H. This circle can be dragged around on the screen. Moto G, KitKat 4.4.4. I'd upload a screen shot but I don't know how.
