contact photos look blurry even with a high quality image that looks great as a wall paper, is there something simple im missing?

Its a limitation of gmail. If you use SyncMyPix to sync facebook images, you'd see great quality. What then happens is your android contacts sync the images back to gmail.com, where they get converted into low res and sync'd back to your phone. Really annoying.

thanks its great to have knowledgable people like you on these forums, would saving my contacts to Phone help and not sync them to gmail?

Possibly but having google contacts is a good thing.

I haven't found any satisfactory work around.

Best was turn off contact auto sync. Manually sync them once a week or so, then replace all the contact images. This really is one of my biggest let downs of android.

thanks again, just tested with the same picture but saving the contact to the phone and there was really no quality increase.
