Help Copy/Paste in GMAIL

Is there a way to copy and paste from a GMAIL message???

yes.... long press on the email text you which to copy, can be any portion of the txt, then you can either select all (at the bottom) or move the blue arrows and highlight what you want.. then at the bottom again there are icons from left to right.. Select All, copy to clip board , More actions (like txting it emailing it etc) and so on

I feel like such a dummy...I was long pressing in the blank space so nothing was happening...I'm not even new to Android, smh

Thanks so much! In the new Gmail app the copy/select buttons etc. got moved to the top (Samsung S4, Android 4.2.2), but your explanation is otherwise excellent.
