Couple questions before I take the plunge....

First off - this is a great crowd here. Informative, but not overwhelmingly so. I appreciate that a lot! I am on the verge of upgrading from my Incredible to the Rezound - but I have two primary concerns. Any feedback would be great!

1) What's the largest capacity battery that's available for the Rezound, but STILL allows for the original battery back cover? I'd really prefer to keep the original cover on this phone if at ALL possible - I just want to max out the battery life.

2) Secondly, if I was to wind up buying the extended battery (with the slightly thicker extended battery back cover) - has the quality of this back cover improved over the Incredible's extended battery cover? The Incredible's extended battery back cover creaks horribly and just feels cheap.

Again, thank you all SO much for any input and advice! :)

I came from an Incredible as well. Love that phone. You've heard it before no doubt, but the Rezound really is like the Inc. on steroids.

1. I think only the factory supplied battery will work under the stock back cover at the moment. If you want more juice, you have to upgrade to the big boy which requires the taller back cover. Hopefully someone will come out with a higher capacity battery that will work with the stock cover at some point. (Have an extended battery from Seidio in my Incredible that fits under the stock cover but offers a little more duration; be nice to have that on the Rezound.)

I'm no super power user, but I've found the Rezound's battery to be plenty reasonable. Getting a day out of it hasn't been a problem thus far.

2. I'm sure someone else can say either way. I'm not planning to thicken this thing up further anytime soon. :D

I keep a second standard battery handy. Bought a thunderbolt battery only charger for three bucks at Verizon. I don't have to use it very often but it's nice to have and keeps the phone stock size. I would be tempted to get the extended battery but thus far it hasn't been something I've needed.

As far as I know there is no legit extended battery that will fit under the stock cover but you could try your luck with some of the Chinese batteries I've seen on the net that claim to fit.

I was surprised at the quality of the extended battery door. No creaking and feels solid. Some have said that it will cast a shadow on pix in well lit areas but i have yet to experience it.

I also have the incredible and love rezound. Its a great improvement to a great phone.

Did you get the thunderbolt charger online or at your local Verizon store?

Thanks!

I picked up several at the Verizon store three weeks ago - they were having a sale - bought several for $4.00 each - store guy said they were discounting a bunch of TB stuff to move it off the shelves

At the store, it may have been $4 was thinking $3. They're discontinued. It's been great but I notice once I put the charged battery in my phone it says just over 80%, so I'm not sure it will charge the larger capacity rezound battery to 100% but for 3-4 bucks, it's a non issue.
