Help Crash when saving contacts

DrNick13

Lurker
Hi, I'm having a problem saving contacts on my i7500L (Bell Canada).

I can create and edit the contact fine, but when I choose to save it, I get the following message:
Code:
Sorry! The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
And the only option I have is to "Force Close" the contacts application.

How can I fix this???

Same question as above.
I think that you need to re-flash the ROM again.

Well, I'm pretty new in Galaxy and Android world, but I know you can use ODIN or you can install custom rom (Galaxo or GAOSP):

Here is method if you want to use Galaxo or GAOSP custom roms:

And here is ODIN method:

You will lose your applications, but you can always install them later, right?
And you can sync your contacts to a gmail account or make a backup to a sd card.

You can go with Galaxo (no such problems with Bell). And I think that issues with Bell are fixed in GAOSP 2 Beta 3 and the newest GAOSP releases.

tiki66 has given you the needed links for you to study.

How would I back this up to an SD card since I can't do the gmail sync cause I don't have a data plan?

Btw, thanks for the quick response :)

Use your Wi-Fi connection if available (Wi-Fi hotspot, your friends Wi-Fi) in order to sync with g-mail and you're ready to go.

Tried do this and I get the following error:
Code:
You don't have a network connection. This could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services. Please try again when you are connected. If it continues, call customer care.

And I know it isn't a problem with my wireless router since I can use the web browser fine.

Can you go to Market?
Google for an app that lets you save contacts to your SIM card - I think there was such an app, but I'm not sure.
