d2 tablet says SD card is full?

When trying to take pictures or shoot a video, my D2 tablet (Android base 4.0.4 )

there are no photos , videos stored on the tablet

we have plenty of space remaining and we are trying to figure out how to fix this?

Has it ever worked, or has suddenly stopped working? Try to reset it to factory defaults, just in case it's only the software acting funky. Backup anything important first though.
