Help Default Music Player will not play music

I have an few albums I want to listen to and right now they're at WMA format I know the Captivate supports that file but for some reason the Player keeps saying cannot support that file. So I then converted them to MP3 and keep getting that same error. Any ideas what maybe the issue?

The phone stops playing MP3s.. It fixes itself when I reboot.
Any solutions?

Mine has stopped playing songs also. Rebooting as I type this. I have a Samsung Vibrant. I have downloaded differrent music players and poweramp works... checking others after reboot now. All players work after reboot. I guess another growing pain.

Believe it or not, Twitter can cause this on the Captivate (froyo). I was having to reboot 2-3x per day. Deleting Twitter fixed it. I have no idea why, I just know it did.

Had the same issue where I couldn't play music or audio or video podcasts and would have to reboot each time and then it would work. Really annoying!
I found the same solution about deleting the Twitter app and it worked! Ever since then (over a month now) I have not had an error playing any kind of file.
