Hello everyone, as you can probably see, the LG Optimus F6 is a Android smartphone manufactured by LG. The phone was released on September 11, 2013 (but don't be fazed by the date the specifications make the phone far from outdated to the casual smartphone user). It has aa 4.5" qHD screen (960x540, 245ppi), a snappy Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus processor clocked in at 1.2GHz. It's complimented by an Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It has a decent 5mp camera that gets the job done. The F6 also packs some nifty features too. Such as LED notification (around home button its pretty cool), an IR blaster (limited but convenet) and NFC. The specs were brought to you by PhoneArena: http://www.phonearena.com/phones/LG-Optimus-F6_id8049 Anyway, my point in creating this thread is to unite the tremendous LG F6 community with dedicated developers who can work on AOSP projects together and use their teamwork to situate errors and problems. I wish for this phone to have the same amount of developer dedication as the cousin L70. I'm in search of kind hearted and open minded developers that can build off source with or without actually having access to this device. If interested PLEASE reply to this thread or message me personally whatever is your preference. Thanks to everyone who actually took the time to read this.

soon as the f6 gets here ill start again
Good to hear you are back on track... Im going tru some jobs changest... Nothing bad but for better... Im gonna contact you PM to see if i can get you on yhe stylo... No promises im gonna try. ;-)

Oh sure, that is just like making a grilled cheese sandwich.
lol all my luck goes to you as it seems you are the last string of hope this phone has. I tried to be enthusiastic about brighter days for this phone but it just seems more obsolete every time I think of it.

I am going to give this a go, now this might take some time I have never done this before. So be patient I give a semi formal commitment into this project. I will need a few days to read on how to build from source first. My kitchen is all set up so that part is done. I am sure there are many devs here that could answer questions if I need it.

Absolutely

I run Windows 10 and the Virtual Machine won't allow me to do a dual boot. Can I do the same thing with Cygwin? I really don't want to mess up Windows on my laptop. Or can I use the Virtual Machine as a guest user and do the same thing. I have read through many articles about this and would like to know is there more than one program to do the same job. I have read that Cygwin can run linux commands but can it see a source build through.

I have no idea my guess is as good as yours

I got everything sorted out last night. I went ahead with the install and nothing changed. I have a guide on how to pull from source, build the base and source the ROM. This should be done within a few days. I will need to test it first then send it out for testers before a release.

Ok, that didn't work, I have tried every possible guide on how to build CM12.1 from source and I am getting a lot if tech errors. I give up I need someone to give me a working guide on how to do this. This is just not happening quick enough.
