Hi everybody, I rooted my zmax with king root yea I know.. Tried flashing super su via twrp reboot recovery as I read. Don't think that worked.. I'll explain in a minute. Ok, so I downloaded cm 12 , CApps, the restore and the switcher. Backed up stock rom kitkat b06. Wiped it all Rebooted twrp into recovery, Flashed cm 12 , flashed CApps. Went in set it up, reboot into recovery flashed switcher then reboot into recovery and did the restore. I believe the whole cm work is right I am on cm 12 now (not 100% on what the switcher / restore do I know there's boot protection on this phone though) . Ok so now when I get root checker (here's where I'm confused) it says I'm not rooted, so I'm on cm 12 but not rooted. Did I something wrong?. I feel like a noob, an idiot, and a fool by now lol. Thank you for all the help.
Anthony.

One of those CM 12.1 ROMs isn't pre-rooted. Just flash Supersu again. It roots the System you're on, so when you switched systems, the new one may or may not be rooted. Easy to fix... If you use those switchers wrong, however, it's not easy to fix. Read this stuff...

Thank you, so I'll simply just reflash the super su and that should fix the not being rooted part, right?. I'm not messing with the switcher. I'm happy with cm 12. Unless cm 13 comes along. Thank you for the help, I appreciate it.
