Disable Low RAM memory warning

"System is running low on memory. Please, close apps."

How do I disable this frigging annoying message ?

It comes every 30 seconds when navigating on web.

I'm posting because I could only find people complaining about storage low memory, never RAM.

No 'workarounds', please.

Obviously I would have closed any useless apps or services, if it was the alternative...

I cancel the warning every time it comes, and there is no side effect.
Guess disabling the message would be the same.

You need to move all apps to your SD card, then I would suggest running a Cache Cleaner, and lastly if you have a lot of stored SMS or MMS delete what you don't need. I use to have the same issue with my Nexus One and it was because of low memory. Also what browser are you using and are you running a lot of windows in it?

Hmm...my phone got to 3mb left and then froze. Never heard or seen a 'low RAM' alert but I have seen the one saying 'phone storage space is low'...is this launcher specific?

What device?
Also to the poster who said move all apps the sd. Some apps do not work correctly when installed to the sd card. Such as widgets and lwps, among others. So be mindful of which apps you move to the sd card.

I think he actually means Low System Memory so obviously he needs to try and do what Mostly Harmless suggested and try to move all his apps onto the SD card, unfortunately though to achieve this the best way is to root your device, as a lot of apps do not give you the option to move them.

App2SD pro app in the play store lets you move any app onto the sd card. It will warn you though and tell you why certin apps should not be moved to the sd card.
You are correct though rooting can solve a lot of your issues. Simply by deleting the stock bloatware and such which frees up memory. I know rooting my razr was the best choice ever! Lol.

Personally i always prefer rooting just because it opens a lot of, what would be closed doors. It is entirely personal choice though.

If you, the OP, want to read more on Rooting/ROMing your device feel free to visit the FAQ's forum, on that forum there are 3-4 dedicated threads to Rooting.

Agreed. Been rooting my phones since my OG droid days. Lol

And if Lucas is not in the rooting frame of mind, he can do things like uninstall updates to everything Google, like Maps, Street View, Voice search and so on. It’s a kludge but it works, for me at least. That and go to settings/apps, sort by size, see what’s taking up more space than it deserves and lose them too.

Argh !
It didn't subscibe to the topic. Sorry; that's why the delay...
