Do you guys think Samsung will redesign touchwiz in the near future?

I read an article recently that basically states that Samsung has all its engineers working on software because it has realized that its the companies biggest weakness. Do you guys think we could see a major redesign when 4.4 drops? I hope so, touchwiz is sometimes handy but most of it in my opinion is just ugly bloat. If they don't redesign in 4.4 but rather in 4.5 or later, do you think the note 3 will even get it? Just curious as to what you guys think. Also this is my first samsung device, how long do they keep putting out updates out for this thing? 1 maybe 2 years?

Of course they are working on updates... A company as big as samsung has people working on everything all the time.

I think that the hardware in these phones has progressed to the point that even if they quit upgrading it (which they aren't by any means) we would probably be fine with what we have now for years. It makes sense to work on the software and gui's in the phones as that's what people see and use the most, and what makes a phone feel new and improved far more than what is running under the hood.

As far as updates, unless they've really changed over the years I would expect full support for the year the phone remains the flagship, then limited support for about a year after that.

Oh and usually these companies save the big launcher updates until the next version of the hardware drops. I personally wouldn't expect to see a TW overhaul until the S5 or Note4 drops. Otherwise if they were running the same version of the launcher most people wouldn't upgrade just for the hardware. I would, but most people wouldn't.
