Root Downgrading my gingerbread to froyo!

Just a little lag and slowness browsing my home screens sometimes! Nothing major! I'm wondering about trying CM haha!

One of the beauties of being rooted... you can always make a complete backup of your current ROM and then flash a different ROM... if anything goes wrong or you don't like it as much, then you just restore your backup and, hey presto, it's as if you never changed anything!! :)

I'm so amazed its as easy as it is! I'm hesitating about making the switch to cm7.1 as I've read the camera is pretty bad! And I don't know if I could handle android without sense! Although im sure I could get used to it if i took the plunge!

It's worth giving it a shot tbh, there is enough about it to make it worth trying it at least.

Just make sure that you take a backup of your existing setup from within clockwork so if you don't like, you can just restore and you're back to where you are now.
 
It really is that easy... I've been on CM7 since I rooted... tried to flash LeeDroid and had a problem... wasn't an issue as I'd backed up!

I want to try again, but my laptop's off being fixed at the moment... hopefully I'll have it back this weekend!! :)

I've downloaded it, but I'm at my girlfriends house, so I don't have HTC sync here :( I think el p said my Google account saved them but it only saved 3! How do I make it save the lot!?
 
Saved 3 Contacts? Your google account will save your contacts if they're set to google contacts on your handset (I think they are saved there by default). Do you see them in the gmail account associated with your handset?

Only email contacts saved in gmail, no others under contact tab!

I do! Launched clockwork, backup and restore and backup! Got a froyo backup, and a leedroid backup :) sorted! Trying it out when I get to 40% battery, don't want to have too little battery and brick my phone!
