Just received this tablet. Mainly bought it to read comics, so vertical viewing is what I'm after. I'd read a couple reviews and watched a video about it, and seemed like a decent tablet, especially for $100.
The only issue I have with it, is the reason I wanted it. Vertical viewing. In horizontal mode, the screen seems perfectly normal. But when held vertically, some of the colors seem.. washed out? Strange? Almost like you're looking at it at a weird angle, but in this case I'm holding it so that it's directly facing me. I've tried it in a perfectly dark room to ensure it's not glare.
It seems bright around the long edges and darker down the center. Any ideas here?
[edit] little further testing. If I hold the tablet perpendicular to my face, then tilt it back about 30 degrees and then lower the upper left corner another 10 degrees (tilting the tablet to the left a bit) it seems to remove most of the strange color behaviour and allow my eyes to more or less relax, but it makes hard to read the upper bits of the comic at that angle. A bit strange doesn't it seem?
