Help Droid Mini Messenger

Curious on something and I would like to see what everyone thinks. I have a droid mini (obviously), and I absolutely hate the built in system app for messenger. I noticed that you can use the google talk app for text, mms...anyone else use this? I absolutely like it, and was wondering what everyone else thinks.

I use chompsms for my texts and hangout and Kik for my instant messengers and they all work fine and easy for me... I also use Google Voice but it is my business line only.
