droid sending wrong email

I know this has been posted before....maybe I am not searching the correct words.....can someone point me to the correct thread/solution?

My phone has been sending the wrongs emails. (pop3 account)

I mean that today I sent an email to John saying something about our meeting today....but instead of anything that I typed, John received the body of an email that I sent to Bob in December.

I have seen postings about this issue in a few places, but no solutions. This is a nightmare.

Anyone know where/how to solve this?

I am having this issue too with a Droid that I got a week ago. I replied to an e-mail on my Droid and it sent an old e-mail that I had sent way before I even had a Droid. The person got the e-mail and replied back to me which was another old email I had sent. What is going on???

I called Verizon and they told me to disconnect my email account and reconnect it again. They said if that didn't work to do a master reset. I can't use e-mail at all if it does this. This could be potentially very dangerous.

Does anyone know of a solution at all?
