So I dropped my phone off the kitchen table on Saturday. I didn't even try and catch it with my foot because the phone has a rubber cover and the floor is vinyl. I picked it up... and it was unresponsive. I pulled the battery and put it back in... nothing. Plugged the phone into a charger... nothing. No LED light. Looking closer, I noticed a small dent on the corner of the phone.
So after being sad for about 15 minutes and planning how I was going to replace it, I had one last thought. I got out my original battery and plugged it into the phone. To my surprise, it turned on. I put the replacement battery back in, and it still did not power on the phone. However, it did notice that it did not fit in the phone as well as the OEM battery. I put in a brand new replacement battery and it fit well and powered on the phone.
For whatever reason the fall only killed the battery and not the phone. So next time you think your phone may be dead... check out the battery.
