Help Emailing photos

I hope I am not duplicating threads but I haven't found one that asks something similar. I use the gmail app for email. When I send a photo, it takes FOREVER. I mean, 5-7 minutes. Ridiculous. I could send full-size photos on my iPhone in 30 seconds or so.

Am I doing something wrong? Also, is there a way to get the phone to ask me what size I want to send each time I try? I like sending smaller resolutions 97% of the time and only sometimes send full-res photos. I don't want to set it to send a low-res *every time* just like I don't want it to send hi-res *every time*. Am I just out of luck here?

You don't say the size of the photo that takes 5-7 minutes but I find it almost impossible time that the size is taking that long IF you have a reasonable speed. Have you run Speedtest.net to test your speed?

I don't know of any way to have your camera app ask about the size each photo but all camera apps will allow you to set the size manually.
