Help End/Power Button Wont Power On Phone??

My samsung moment's end/power button no longer works for some reason . That is the main way and as far as i know, the only way to turn it on . It died 2 days ago & ive had it on the charger all day, soooooo... now the battery is full and working . screen comes on fine, displays battery charging . I was wondering if there's any other way to turn on or restart my phone without using the end/power button ?? i got lucky a few times when i unplugged my charger, & it just automatically powered up . everytime my phone dies tho, i cant power it back on unless i get lucky again . taking the battery out and putting it back in doesn't work . HELP ME PLEASEEE . Thank you.

Shifting the hardware keyboard open turns the screen on and, if not password protected, will unlock the screen.

As mentioned, sliding the keyboard should wake up the phone, as will calling iit. I had the end button failure thing happen a long time ago (when I owned a Moment) and the only thing that worked for me was a hard reset. I vaguely recall someone posting another solution not requiring a reset, but my search for it has come up empty. The only thing I can find is to install "spare parts", but I don't think it effects 2.X roms button functions. Good luck.
