This has to be one of the most under-rated tools on the market. I was using Astro file manager for a long time before I stumbled across this last week, and what a revelation!
The interface is MUCH more intuitive than other variants I have tried and it has a couple of aces up it's proverbial sleeve...
- Browsing of Local files AND files on a networked computer
So, You want to find that document you've got stored on your computer to view on your Android, or maybe just play some music that's not stored locally on your device. Launch ES File Explorer and find the music on your PC, and stream it straight to the phone. The same works with some video files as well!
- Can also be used as an FTP client
I've also made use of this function quite a bit. It essentially does what you'd expect, it enables you to upload any documents from your Android phone to the ftp of your choice, so that you can be updating your website on the move! You can also use this as a form of cloud storage which is quite handy!
- Did I mention it also does Bluetooth transfer?
Yet another fantastic use... Doesn't need explaining, but a really easy way to browse another phone or computer's files via bluetooth (if WiFi is not an option).
So in conclusion.... get it, and you can delete at least 1 or 2 other apps and replace it with this one.
