Root exchange email

Installed cm10, aokp, pacman, all with the same problem as far as exchange is concerned but I'm sure it's just me being dumb lol. On sense (or touchwiz for that matter) when I set up my exchange account, it asked me my email address and password and it set up the account automatically after that, calendar, sync contacts, everything. On the other roms, it doesn't work and I try fiddling with the options but I can never get it to work. I'd really like to make pacman my main rom but I have to have exchange for work. Do I need a separate app for email or am I doing something wrong.

with pacman you have to go into settings/system/hardware keys/then for me i use the icon that normally switches apps and change that to open/close menu. now in any app you can open the menu options.

not sure on cm10 it has been a while since i have been on it. and i did not stay long enough on aokp to figure that part out.

The default app, maybe I need an exchange activesync plug in? In sense it configures it automatically but in all those roms it doesn't

hmmmmm not sure. my phone is acting weird so i need to fix that first and then let me take a look at this issue and see if i have the same thing or not.
