Help extreme lag, phone hot, deleted most apps Help!

This phone has disappointed me from day one when I couldn't save my apps to my sd card. I am down to to Only 5 apps, one being Clean Sweep! I hate this phone, but can't afford to upgrade. Any ideas, suggestions besides a hammer would be appreciated! Thanks!!

Your best bet is to just take a sledge hammer to it and finish it off! ;) kidding of course.
Yes the device can run hot towards the back top of the device... This is where the weak 1GH Dual core prossesors are and once under stress/load you will notice that the device begins to heat up and as you run out of user usable storage (only 1.80GB available) that the device will begin to run slow and become laggy and this will also contribute to the increase in temperature of the device.
I would highly suggest, if you haven't already is to root your L9, install that L9 recovery installer a CWM based recovery for locked bootloaders ( you cannot flash custom ROMs with this CWM version but can create, restore and flash stock modified nandroid backups like KumaKan ROM) and then flash the KumaKan stock modified rom, which includes a internal/external memory swap script. This allows for your external SD card to become your internal memory and the 1.80GB internal memory is switched to your SD card. So my L9's 16GB SD card is now the internal memory and the 1.80GB is the external SD card. This solves the low storage error and you can begin to download apps, files and etc... Again.

This is really the only option to resolve the "running out of internal storage memory" error.

I rooted my L9 very easily with Cydia Impactor - Cydia Impactor

For L9 recovery installer-

Follow the direction in the L9 recovery installer guide to a "T"

Immediately after you boot to CWM recovery for the very first time make sure that you make a nandroid backup first thing before rebooting back to the OS. This will help resolve the "Encrypting Phone" error if you happen to get it after booting back to the OS. If this is the case and you get this error... Power off the device, reboot back into recovery and restore your nandroid backup.

Once that's done you can then install the stock modified KumaKan rom/nandroid backup.
I'm currently using v3.4 as v3.5 still has some bugs that need to be addressed. V3.4 is running fantastic on my L9 and I would by no mean return back to stock after using KumaKan ROM. That can be found here - [ROM] Kumakan - Modified Stock | LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769 | XDA Forums

Follow the directions in the KumaKan thread to a "T" as well and all should go well and this will breath a new life back into your L9.

Hope this helps and if you have any questions or need any help... Feel free to ask!
