Help facebook messenger!

hey there! well it's my first time on the forums. I have been using facebook messenger on my huawei g510 but now it has stopped giving me notifications about my new messages and it does not properly operates. I have tried re-installing the app but it still the problem withstands and whenever it gives me notifications it's never on time.
any solutions?

The Facebook apps are very buggy, you would think such a big company would sort it out but none of these massive daily updates they push out seem to fix anything. Anyway, rant over XD
Do you have any battery savers on or Greenify or anything along those lines?
