Help Facebook not syncing

Hey guys, i recently did a hard factory reset on my phone and had to reinstall all my apps. Well i reinstalled facebook and this time it didnt go through the sync setup process. im not running Sense Facebook, just the Facebook for android. Because i am running an AOSP Rom. So i went to setting and then to Accounts and Sync and chose add account. Then i chose facebook and it just sends me right back to the Accounts and sync settings page without adding facebook. My gmail is syncing just fine. its just facebook. Any ideas?!?
