Help Factory data reset: The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly

Dear all,

My phone is i7500 + android 2.1 update1
when I reset phone: Setting -> Privacy ->Factory data reset
I get error: The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again
so, I can't reset my phone

Please help me

Use the Recovery for data reset (wipe) and flash again.
But why Android 2.1 version is a mistery to me.
