Help fb chat won't show online contacts

Can anyone help with this problem? When i start the chacha widget for chat it fails to display any contacts on fb as being online. When I selected show offline friends it showed all as being offline, despite many actually being online when I checked the desktop website later on a computer. When I opened fb chat via the menu instead of the widget it fails to log me on, and if it does manage that all contacts are still shown as offline, in addition fb notifacations often fail to be recieved by the phone and are only picked up when visiting the website, despite all notifications being turned on.


Can anyone help at all?

Not personally had any issues with the FB chat widget, have you tried going to the options and signing out and then signing back in? Might help. I do however notice that FB updates don't get sent to my phone either unless i have actually logged into FB on my mobile, but then again it doesn't bother me that much as i'm not connected to the internet 24/7 on my mobile, only when i'm out and it's quite easy to just jump in and check.
