fingerprint phone lock

is there an app or something where i can use my fingerprint to unlock my phone. because i have an htc hero. awsome phone its just i hate the pattern thing. if someone can let me know that would be great.

Though I'l bet it requires technology that is quite a bit beyond what the current touchscreen is capable of.

Back when there was only 1 Android phone, there were rumors of a eye scan thing to unlock your phone. I think it was called BioWallet or something. I dont know what happened to it though.

I think either of those would be a really good thing to have.

It's not possible for the phone to detect a fingerprint, so an app to do it will never happen (unless its just a gimmicky app that simulates scanning your finger).

there is a progam called fingerprint scanner that claims to do exactly what you are talking about in locking your phone with your fingerprint. it cost a buck dont know if it works

BioWallet is getting ready to release an iris scanner that would utilize the camera on your phone. I wanted to install it on my Eris, but I don't think it has been released as of yet. You can find out more here.
