flash recovery from hboot: impossible!
Hi,
I tried to Flash the recovery CWM from hboot with the PD98IMG.zip file.
I renamed the file of recovery, I formatted the sd card and put there.
I rebooted into hboot but the message that I release is this:
"model id incorrect!
update fail!
press <Power> to reboot

the phone is in off, but I bought it already so, so I don't know what they used to do it.

I tried to use different tools and using fastboot but I failed to Flash recovery nor custom nor other ROMs.

These are the data:

ACE PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-0.85.0024
MICROP-0438
RADIO-26.09.04.11 _M2
eMMC-BOOT
April 12, 2011, 00:55:45

software version 2.3.3
software number 2.50.405.2
htc sense 2.1

the Ruu Flash on this phone is not the original one.
who did the S-OFF has flashed stock rom 2.50.405.2 the European
but the original is branded orange uk and should be this:
RUU_Ace_Orange_UK_1.40.61.2_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_2 6.03.02.26_M_release_157531_signed
does anyone know if I can reset the phone in extremis in S-ON through this flash ruu or know why can't Flash the recovery via hboot with this file?

on the page of recovery for now leaves out android system recovery.
Thank you

p.s. this is the answer from fastboot:

C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools>fastboot flash recovery reco
very.img
sending 'recovery' (3554 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.602s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.624s

The fastboot flash is failing because you do not have an eng hboot,or an unlocked htcdev hboot. Check your other thread for my other response ;)

you can simply istall it in hboot,as a PD98IMG file. but i dont think were quite ready for that just yet ;)
