Newbie
Hello I did a huge mistake I flashed D802 Partition files on D800
I bought this phone 4 days ago from eBay.. Seller said its D802 and I checked its D802 But I didn't open backcover to check So its my mistake, I install Autorec and then stuck on No recovery & No download mode So I flash D802 Partition files in fastboot.. Finally I enter in Download Mode then I try to flash Stock rom But it giving me error.. because phone is D800 and I am flashing D802.. So I downloaded D800 Rom but it also not flashing because partition I installed ws D802.
Help me now I am stuck on Download Mode and I cant flash D800 Partition files in download mode..
Is there anyway to flash D800 partition files.. Or anyway to flash recovery in download mode? (fastboot not working in download mode)

Edit: I can flash partition files, If someone tell me how to enter in fastboot mode.

Ok. You can probably get by then with flashing a d800 tot. Is that what you were trying to do when you got the wrong model error?

I tried D802 Tot & D800 Tot But both give me error.. I am downloading HongKong version now.. Maybe it'll help
iowabowtech please suggest me what to do next..

Well it depends on what model LG Flash Tools thinks your phone is. It should tell you that in the error messages so yes a screenshot may be helpful. Sounds like this phone may have had a custom rom on it previously if its failing the model check on both a d802 and d800 tot. Once you figure that out, you can hexedit the d800 tot and change the model in the header to whatever Flash Tools thinks it's seeing, then use a generic 8974.dll and it should flash the d800 tot.

When I try to flash D802 tot it gives me error in 6%.. In D800 error at the start.
I am noob I do use hexedit But in xbox games dlc.. No idea about here how to do it.. Any help here?

Yes when I buy this phone it was rooted & installed rom was D802.. I take a screenshot of cpu-z here take a look.

Ok. But what we need is the error log from the LG Flash Tools software that you would have been running in order to apply the tot. That will tell us what model it thinks the phone is right now. We must defeat it at the LG Flash Tools level.

This is an example of the output we need:

Note how is says "model is different". And then it shows the model it's perceiving the phone to be.

Take a look here.

Ok, so it says model is d802. For that reason, I'm surprised it wouldn't flash a d802 tot. But be that as it may, what you want to do is open your d800 tot with a hexeditor, use the search feature within your hexeditor to search for "800" in text format. The first thing you come across should be the full model number followed immediately by the s/w version. It'll look like this:

So what you want to do is edit the 800 in that first instance (the one highlighted in blue above and in the string LG-D800). You want to change that to LG-D802. Then save it as a copy so you retain the original tot in case you need it later. Then try to flash the newly edited tot. You may get a "cross dll" error. If so, try to use this dll in lieu of the normal LG Flash dll:

I don't know any reason why the cam would be fuzzy unless there were a hardware issue. If you are an ATT customer, you can update via OTA to the newest firmware and potentially resolve the issue if my guess is wrong.

You can, however it would be far easier to update to a kitkat tot before doing so. I assume you ended up loading the v10o tot from the screenshot above and that is still Jellybean. It can be done, but it's far more work. Therefore, I'd recommend using this tot from my personal library:
https://mega.co.nz/#!gBxxwQQa!Bm0AcuEs3f8et8OrJoUZTKSm9FDhMzRzzKPmjTDbpn4

Be sure to use the original LG Flash dll for the d800 with the above tot (not the ncrypt3d_8974.dll i linked above).

That will put you on stock d800 kitkat firmware at which point you can use Stump Root to obtain root and Autorec to get recovery. Just be sure to of course choose the d800 recovery when prompted. :D You need to treat the phone as a D800 from here forward obviously. Which it is at the motherboard level and that's what matters.

My net isn't fast So don't prefer mega to download 2gb file, Any mirror?
you're sharing stock tot kitkat? If yes I will search somewhere else if you don't have mirror.

I do not have a mirror unfortunately. And even more unfortunately, most of the links that are available for that tot are also Mega because here in the US we are limited by file size and the LG firmwares are large. Mega is one of the only options we have for that file size aside from private servers. I wish you the best of luck though and yes, it is d800 kitkat firmware (stock tot), version 20c.

Hey iowabowtech.. Check that link I shared.. Is this the same 20c file you want me to download? Only difference is its .exe maybe its a extractor. Check KK MIRROR DOWNLOAD
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663369 (I am not advertising other site)

Download Installer - KitKat 4.4.2 D80020c - This Flashes Stock KitKat, WITHOUT Root, and WITHOUT Recovery. - UseTowelRoot and AutoRec to get Root and Custom Recovery. - Single File LARGE archive. KK MIRROR DOWNLOAD
D80020c Split Archive Download - This is the same archive as above, but split into smaller pieces for easy download.

Do I need to use Hexedit on 20c?

Edit: Never mind I Flashed without hexedit.. & it works.
