Help Fox-Fi/PdaNet+

Just a simple yes or no answer (I'm hoping).
Unfortunately I let JB install OTA last week. Now I can't get my Ford's Sync system to read text messages but that's another story.
Question: Using JB, will the app PdaNet+ (FoxFi) KEY ($7.95) work like FoxFi did in ICS? Free wifi hotspot from my phone? No monthly fee?
I'm getting confused with all the reading as to what it will and won't do and a monthly fee or not.

No not without paying Verizon. Or you can root phone and install wireless teather for root.
