friends samsung note rings but doesnt leave voicemail?

my friend a few days ago said his at&t samsung note cell phone line was disconnected..i have tried calling him in the last few days and all the call does is ring many times but it never leaves a voicemail? anyone ever had this happen or is it possibly still connected?thanks

Not sure I understand the problem. Your title says the phone is disconnected so how can you expect to leave a voice message? If the phone were still connected, wouldn't your friend had answered his phone?
