Root From triumph to nexus 4 or galaxy s3?

I'm getting either a nexus 4 or a galaxy s3 and I wanted some opinions on which one i should get?

I don't own either one but some basics may help....

One glaring spec on the Nexus 4 that is missing for me is the non-existance of a micro sd slot for expansion. It's a deal breaker for some and a non issue for others. Check the specs and features to see if one has something the other doesn't and determine if it matters.

Go to a store and hold both in your hand and see if one is a more comfortable fit in your hands.....button placement, one hand operation possibilities, etc.

Both are top rated phones and you probably can't go wrong with either one.:)

I've been looking at both as well, though I really can't say goodbye to the Triumph anytime soon...

S3 will have a better front camera, removable card and battery (important for those who like to carry backups), and has Samsungs fun bells and whistles (Touchwiz, camera options... thoguh no manual exposure, etc). I like the physical button on the face too (would be nice if I needed to wake when mounted on my bicycle or motorcycle, personally). If you like FM radio, it has that too.

Nexus has more RAM, faster CPU, wireless options (induction charging is pretty cool), sharper screen, and HDMI output. It's also slightly narrower, though screen size is only a tenth of an inch smaller.

Price could be an issue as well, of course.

I went with the nexus like a month ago and i don't regret it, i love the N4 & the pure android experience.

Galaxy S4.

The S3 should get you a better camera, processor, screen, removable slot.
But then there's the N4 which is a Nexus.. and that's hard to beat.

I just moved from the triumph to the N4(Sooooo much better). Last time I checked the N4 was much less expensive as the S3 off contract. It's up to you whether you think the S3 is worth the extra price for the micro sd and removable battery.

I apologize I didn't think there would be a issue posting here..and I'm thinking nexus 4. I heard the galaxy s3 doesn't have a quad core?

Some comparisons above...

This Nexus phone can pull down 10mbps+ over HSPA+ over Tmobile's network. And this was over Straight Talk which is considered a budget 3rd rate provider and is 'unlimited' data. I was totally shocked to see this. Also the Nexus is considered to have a newer quad core processor, high end GPU, and a better screen. I would go with the Nexus 4 hands down... Plus it will get Android 4.3, then 5.0. I doubt the Samsung S3 will be getting either.

I really enjoyed the triumph community. I eventually got tired of the terrible data speed with virgin/sprint and upgraded. Nexus 4 all the way. You can get LTE coverage (with root and flashed radio (super easy)) for only $30/month (100 minutes 5 gig LTE) on T-Mobile. I've attached my speed in Dayton OH, but you can expect double or even triple these numbers in better LTE areas. Oh.....I'm also running 4.2 and will get 5 when it's released!

I want to upgrade my phone and keep my $25 plan because I'm getting some cheap $60 topup card for only $40. I guess my only option to turn Sprint S3 phone to VM. Is any other suggestion?

I just went nexus 4 on straight talk and I will never go back HSpa+ gets it every time. No lag no buffering and that if I don't do the mod to go lte. I was already on the high end for the plan 45 a month. Straight talk kills them but I might take my chances with family mobile nexus 4 yeah boybl and you don't have any problems with source code. Your shiit gets real updates

For today only, I saw that on the VM site, they have the S3 on sale for $80 off, now its $320. I ordered two for me and my wife. I loved my triumph, but I like getting newer technology too. Besides, the triumph wont be gone, my daughter will use it, so it stays in the family.

$320 for device and force to upgrade to $35 plan with 4g capped at 2500mb. I rather go with T-mobile with $30 plan with 5000mb data and 4G LTE. Unlimited google voice. That's why i stay with $25 plan :D:D

I thought the lack of a Micro SD card would be an issue, but I did a spot check on my Triumph and looked at what I really needed and the Nexus 4 has been a dream. The only issue is if you like to have a lot of ROMs backed up, you need to transfer to PC, but with AirDroid, it is painless.

Go Nexus 4 on T-Mobile for $30.

Nexus 4 all the way man. I got a galaxy nexus a year ago and am still very satisfied! The nexus experience is unbeatable
