Frozen S3 - Black Screen Only

I have a problem with my Samsung galaxy s3 all I get is a black screen. I have tied various button pressing combinations different battery nothing happens the only sign I get it gets warm when charging. Any one help please thanks

You may have cracked the screen. It is possible to break the LCD (AMOLED, really) without breaking the outer glass. Rare, but possible.

Or the connector to the screen has come loose, or you could have a defective AMOLED screen. You could swap your mainboard into another same-model phone, and see if the problem follows the board, or stays with the screen.
