I recently dropped my G2 and most of the screen shattered, the bottom of the screen where the glass is not cracked still responds to touch. The screen lights up, the notification light and buttons work fine, I can still get calls/texts/etc. Basically it seems like the phone works perfectly fine except for the touch aspect where the screen is cracked.
I haven't been using the phone since it broke because I had a lock on it. My question is, would I be able to ONLY buy the outer screen glass replacement and have the phone work fine?
I do not want to buy a whole LCD/digitizer kit if all I need is the screen for the phone to work again. I'd appreciate any feedback!
