Help g2x and optimus

Ok I found out from another post they are almost the same anybody know what the difference is ?
The g2X does not have any overlay program from lg or tmobile it is just pure android

The O2X has the crappy LG overlay, while the g2x (to my knowledge) doesn't, but it probably has a few extra features added by t-mobile and whatnot.

I personally have the O2X, but the G2X is fine too I think. Either way, I suggest flashing a custom ROM

The difference is different partition layout and different radio chip.
