Help Galaxy i7500 Bricked - ADB not working - here's a challenge

OK, I've searched through the threads on here for a few days and I've found lots of help for people with ADB problems, lots of threads for people with recovery problems, but none that have THIS problem... :)

Galaxy has corrupted / formatted Internal SD card. (yes, this was me) :(

Can boot into Fastboot and install recovery.img

Can boot into recovery mode, however only have mini recovery.

ADB will not work. (Error: Device not found)

Cannot put USB in debug mode (no OS).

Cannot re-install ADB USB drivers (Win 7 tells me the correct drivers are loaded, and if I try to force it it tells me the drivers are incorrect)

So. Can anyone see a way out of this?

Apologies if someone else has already asked these questions, but I couldn't find a thread with this issue.

Cheers,

Matt

Apparently it's not so dark as it seems. You just need to push rectools.tar on your phone and it will work and then you will get a full working recovery.
Of course this is only if you can really install recovery.img.

There is also a try with the ODIN (version 3.9x). Did you try to see if ODIN recognizes your device???

OK Odin can't see the phone. Or at least I don't think it can (nothing happens when I start ODIN)

The phone is in Mass Storage mode (according to the Device Manager in Win 7) and I can't do anything with it.

Ah. Here's a protip folks: always READ THE DAMN INSTRUCTIONS.

Phone wasn't in Download Mode , it was in Recovery mode...

End Result: one phone with H8 firmware, and booting well.

@ Lelouch: Thanks very much for the simple fix.
