Help Galaxy s2 occasional freezing/crashing

Hello,
My s2 freezes sometimes.Its usually when I'm using the camera.The only way to make it work again is removing the battery or if I'm lucky,by rebooting it.I'm running android 2.3.6 and kernel 2.6.35.7 both of them are stock,I didn't do any updates.

I experienced the same problem today and thats what made me come here. Any idea whats happening with our phone?

I'm having the same problem; the camera opens up fine but then won't take a picture. When I go 'back' nothing happens or the screen just goes black. If I leave it long enough on the black screen I will get the message that the camera has stopped working.

but my phone does that when i lock the screen. it restarts imediatly. how to solve???

Now the camera won't rotate when I turn the phone so if it took pictures (which it now won't) they would all be 'portrait' position. Tried several times this evening and although the camera will open, none of the buttons respond and I had to take the battery out each time to get it to go off.
