Oh I'm picky about my bread.

Either plain or seeded/wholegrain is good, other than that, oh actually I think I had sour dough rolls on my cruise last year, they were good, but not 'home made' like my favourite are

I don't really care about my bread, I like everything :)

Dough is looking a WHOLE lot better today. Granted, I did throw in a small pinch of yeast since I'm still paranoid about my starter. :o
Basically, just don't want to toss it in the trash like Saturday's loaf. :(

Me too. I like My Bread dark and heavy. Or a croissant, or fresh baguette. Not the sweet soft white spongy stuff.
With fresh strawberries on top, or fresh cheese n tomato slices. Or chocolate flakes :)

:ditto:
But, of course you have to throw in your beautifully made brioche as well. :)
Pandoro is a bread I've never had but always wanted to try and make. It's insanely labor and skill intensive. Perhaps I'll give it a try at some point.
Pandoro | Wild Yeast

Bah, and it uses osmotolerant yeast which is next to impossible to find. I think we used it in school but IIRC, the chefs stopped as they didn't see the difference between it and regular instant yeast.

Dough is banging, feels great! :D
I put in considerably more whole wheat so it's a little on the drier side, but I think it will turn out beautifully.
That's my starter in the jar behind the bowl.

Bread with...
Fresh cheese slices and a light topping of wild berry marmelade?
Peanut- or chocolatebutter?
Chocolate sprinkles?
:D

Interesting. I can do jam, :eating: but if I make a dessert out of my bread, I would never be able to fullfill obligations at hooters. :driver:

Bread to me is pretty much just for sandwiches or toast, sure there is a ton of stuff you can use with it, but sprinkles? Choc shavings?

Spreads, cheeses, meats, mustards, salad etc, yeah, sure. But not really sweet things other than jams etc.

But we don't eat muffins/donuts, tripple layers (sausage, cheese n egg) on our bread. Hardly any soda too. :D Another balance i guess :D

Hey, there is worse... In Norway they use goat cheese, herring on sour, mackerel in tomatosauce and cheap caviar (from other fish than salmon) on their breakdast bread. Nice sourdough bread though :D

Doesn't sound terribly bad.
My wife is a lox fanatic. She loves belly lox which is harder (nearly impossible) to find outside of a very traditional Jewish deli. Most places in Florida have it cause, ya know who lives there. ;)
It's supposedly of lesser quality than Nova lox which is far more common, but she loves it.

For me, most nut butters are great. Cashew and almond butters are great. Macadamia if you got money and obviously Nutella. :D

Lox. Love it! Caught a lot of fish during summers in Norway :) Stupid question: what has being jewish got to do with it?

I only know peanutbutter. Macadamia sounds marvellous...
Edit: and Nutella of course. That's universal ;)
