Yeah, I've read and seen the N7 is one of the easiest to crack open but I'm not at that point yet.
Well, on the bright side, looks like we'll make it to the outside movie premiere of the city: Indiana Jones, The Last Crusade. One of my favorites for sure. We'll have dinner at home first but there'll be some food trucks there we can pick up some snacks for. :)

Don't you know all phones can be opened? :D

I hope that works bread. My screen is beginning to spider worse. :(

Been doing some trouble shooting myself today. My stock browser has been acting all crazy ( freezing, lagging, closing, etc etc. ) as of lately. Very frustrating. Currently using Google Chrome & everything is back to normal. I actually like Chrome a lot better anyway, I should have used it earlier.:o

I don't care for Chrome.

I like Boat Browser, Naked Browser is _very_ good, and I'm lately very impressed with UC Browser.

That last one will give you a popup if a site is requesting your location, and it's my go-to now for sites with videos because the full screen controls are great. The first one has more setting features than anything I've used.

And Naked Browser is so bloat-free it's not funny.

I just wish I could figure out what made my stock browser go all cray cray, but I discovered something I like better so I'll live w/ the uncertainty.

Did the US get the news about the "terrorist" attack in south London? I had to log out of facebook because people i consider friend/aquaintances are over reacting and usin it as an excuse to be racist :( i hate that typical fb lowest common denominator contagious gut reaction crap man.

Anyways peeps, i want a tablet for xmas if i still have my liberty and im pretty sure i want a Nexus device so other than the obvious screen size.. is one better than the other?

Chrome for android users, do u like the new update? My play store review seems to be at the top of the pile of s3 user reviews and Google has answered my request for full-screen (kinda) :) i still go back to Dolphin though

Yeah my Facebook was littered with postings of that video. Can't really be a race thing.. Its more of a religious or region thing that I've seen. My opinion? Cutting up an unarmed person in public because of something that happened in a completely separate country is illogical and i support the officers decision to defend themselves when provoked.

My opinion is that its a war casualty but on the other hand, its a war crime.
Our governments cant keep meddling in other countries affairs and not expect stuff like this to happen but at the same time, that was a cowardly sickening thing to do.
I dont call it a racial thing or religeous, to me its political but the small minded idiots on my fb are making it racial because thats the easiest thing for them to hate :(

I've been looking for a new browser since they ruined Xscope. I didn't care for Boat Mini, it seems slow and I don't like how the tool bar is managed. I really liked UC Browser when it worked right, but it wouldn't load pages all of the time, giving error messages, and my keyboard wouldn't work right. I'm resorting to Opera Mini right now, which works ok for the most part, but is primitive to say the least. Still looking for something as good as the old Xscope, which was perfect for me.

I'm using Xscope Pro 6.5 as well, I agree.

Just reinstalled Opera to try out the latest update. Meh, they removed a lot of features.

Fwiw, the toolbar on Boat and it's mini is worlds apart, but if the Mini was slow for you, the full version might not work out either.

Phone news - I use dolphin browser for my everyday stuff

Non phone news - I love my job! Never thought I'd say that but I do. I miss my Tuesday and Thursday zumba class though.

Warning, large pictures.

Nice hole in the clouds with the sun shining through, looked a lot like this.

Took a snap of the same shot again with white balance set to fluorescent - I rather got a kick out of it.

Aside from those being downscaled by 2 (orig res was just over 3200x1800), no other adjustments or post-processing.

Edit and PS - after viewing the second one - view it from 10 or 12 feet away, depending on your monitor. ;) :) :)

Wow, what a difference!

Proceed at your own risk - you've been warned.

So... what is everyones thoughts about some HTC top dogs jumping shark?

Rats fleeing a sinking ship?

That's an interesting story, isn't it? :)

First, the obligatory correction of the blogosphere's claims about HTC revenues - http://androidforums.com/htc-one/685313-your-thoughts-expectations-htc-one-m7-4.html#post5721482

Anyhoo, for those that missed it - HTC loses their Chief Product Officer - Is HTC in trouble?

So, I think you've got something, but the question is, who are the rats? :p :D

HTC has made just insane decisions lately.

  • Ultrapixel
    • Fancy name for 4.2 MP instead of more
    • This is a great move, the megapixel myth is real
    • Then - they go and hose up severely
      • Intense image compression that people are blaming on the number of megapixels
        • "Optimized for social media uploads!"
        • Could have been a freaking adjustment
    • Gathers more light!
      • Actually, gathers about the same light as last year's One X
      • But due to fewer pixels, could have had less noise
        • Except compression brought it back and more
      • Insane auto-exposure error in camera on delivery
        • New myth: gathers more light=bad daylight photos
        • Fixed by update, but myth will remain
        • No one is re-re-reviewing the camera
        • Who didn't test this against last year's camera???
    • Excellent camera hamstrung at delivery
  • One piece construction!
    • Except for the pieces glued on the front to complete the package
  • Two buttons!
    • Repeat of the on-screen overflow button, the most-complained about feature of last year
    • Change the kernel, presto-chango, the logo is now a button :p
    • Seriously. Two freaking buttons???
  • Blinkfeed!
    • So cool you can't live without it! :)
    • No, seriously - you can't turn it off.
    • No, you can't customize it and add RSS feeds or anything we don't give you.
    • What do you mean you don't want American feeds on Blinkfeed? If you don't like our phone in Germany or the UK you can just move bozo!
  • Ok, this time we mean it, we're concentrating on One great phone!
    • BTW - have you seen our fabulous new Facebook phone! :)
    • We have an exclusive on it! :)
    • We're going to clean up on it, who doesn't like Facebook? :)
    • Did we mention we have an exclusive? :)
    • What could possibly go wrong? :)
    • Wait - what do you mean, a week later you can get the app from the Store and run it on anything??
  • Everyone has opinions on no sd card or replaceable battery, so I won't bother (much)
    • Some people really care
      • This actually goes both ways, I'm sick and tired of sd cards :D
    • Some really don't
  • Bad or no advertising
    • Really HTC? You couldn't afford a few YouTubes with real people? :p

So, if the people leaving were in any way responsible for that, great.

From their comments - who the heck knows, yeah? :)

Wow, what a difference!

I know right. :) :)
