I can see it now Froyo did this Froyo caused that, My this and that stopped working because of the new Froyo download YIKES its coming tomorrow! God I love a Circus! ;) and its on its way to Evo Town!

AND who will begin the process of cleaning up all the animals cages? all the "crazy" and "impatient" people who updated early. and will roll up their sleeves in spite of the various slander hurled at them by strangers.
 
Seems like the shit storm has already started. I'm thinking that maybe they should restrict the "New Thread" button for a few days because this is getting out of hand. On the first page of this section alone there are like 6 threads about tethering and Froyo, 6 about impressions, 6 about battery life, etc. I know this forum moves fast, but I have never seen the amount of duplication of information I see on this forum on any other.
 
I love when we get "so how is your battery life after froyo". WHAT!!! the first one i saw was two hours after froyo came out WHAT!. To be honest the storm hits tonight. Some will start checking at midnight.

i think the mods are trying to remedy that. they def have their work cut out for them!
 
I have 2.2 and i have to say it is just wonderful. It is not perfect, but good enough. Yes there is some problems but they are manageable.

To the op, you will start a topic on anything? What ever crosses your mind? Most people will be happy with froyo, and some will insist on returning the phone 5 times because of a finger print is on the screen. But there is just not enough difference for the drama queens to drag out.

Oh, I agree and I wasn't trying to say it was going to be an easy job. I think that restricting the "new thread" feature will be easier than trying to police everything. It's a thankless job that you don't get paid for. I wouldn't take it.
 
Should be an interesting day. Just image all members and new members here back on asking questions...
 
I actually feel like this thread is rather insulting to those of us who chose to wait for the OTA official update. Why would there be any more problems with the official OTA update than there was with the manual (unofficial) update?
Is this thread an implication that those of us that waited are somehow more ignorant than those who manually downloaded, or that we are just whiners?

Not to mention the fact that it is coming from someone who hasn't been the most helpful.

Some folks just like to rile up the masses more than actually doing anything.

Simple, because so many more people will have downloaded it by tomorrow evening so there will be more issues just in the general numbers.
 
No no no. Froyo is descended from the gods. It causes no harm. Just take this little blue pill and keep the line moving. Ask no questions.

tomorrow there will be x times more froyo users, thus x times more complaints. more threads.

i'm probably gonna stay away for a couple of days.
 
I predict that the same people that had problems with the last update will no doubt have issues with this one. Just a hunch.
 
uh, mods i believe this was just moved to the wrong place. shouldn't it be under general discussion in the Evo section :confused:

That is a DAMN good idea. But IMO, the 'start new thread' option should just be flat-out eliminated for users that are on probation, and users with under 20 posts. That way it's a punishment for the troublesome members (as well as a blessing for the rest if us), and it helps to force newbies to run a search, or at least browse a little.
