Gmail app stopped working

The Gmail app on my HTC Evo has stopped working. Incoming messages are not delivered (but are visible in other email apps). Outgoing messages just sit forever with the label "sending" attached. Manual refresh has no effect, and neither does rebooting the phone. I am running Gmail version 2.3.2.

Has anybody else experienced problems like these with Gmail?

No.

Uninstall updates. See if that works.

Or, install the new version and see if that fixes it.


Or, clear data and cache for the app, force close it and reboot your phone.


Basically, follow the same steps you should try for any app that is misbehaving.

I found solution to this problem:
Go to Settings->Applications->Manage applications
Open Gmail Storage and "Clear data"
Then open Gmail and "Clear cache"
